Gut Neuensteden - Broodmares
Our Hanoverian breeding program here at Gut Neuensteden has been founded on two mare lines, which our family has built up over generations ...

Mare line of Schluppera (born. 1908) Hanoverian Line No. 1190815

One of the very old prominent Hanoverian mare lines is that of Lusenka. This line produced many superb competition horses, such as Falada M (Forrest xx - Grande) who competed in dressage at the Olympics in Athens and Neil Ishoy's current Grand Prix horse LoneStar, as well as many licensed breeding stallions. e.g. Argwohn I (Warendorf State Stud) and Argwohn II (Celle State Stud), Fisherman's Friend (Remi Stud Australia), Lewinski (Moritzburg State Stud), Glacier (Saxony), Wesselton River Blue (Hanover), Pianist ( Rhineland), Weltadel (Bavaria), Donnerwelt (USA), Loredes (Sweden) and Sarkozy (Schockemoehle)

Mares from this line currently active in the breeding program at Neuensteden are:

  • SPS Linnea, *2005 (Lauries Crusador xx - World Cup I - Argus - Grande)
  • SPS Lefalda, *1999 (Lemon Park - Grande - Frustra II - Duellant)

Loredes was performance tested in Germany (Münster-Handorf) with the following scores: Temperament 8.88 - Walk 7.25 - Trot 8.0 - Canter 8.63 - Rideability 8.25. At his stallion performance test in Sweden he scored a 10.0 on his canter, 8.0 for trot, 8.0 walk and 8.5 for rideability.

Falada in AthenThe most successful dressage horse bred on our farm to date is Falada M (by Forrest xx - Grande), who brought success to France at the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens for rider Karen Tebar, also competing in the European Championships in Hagen in 2005 and the World Equestrian Games in Aachen in 2006.
Falada's full brother “Faletto”and his rider Katharina Bethmann have also celebrated Grand Prix victories.

Other examples of dressage horses winning through Prix St.Georges level at dressage include: Wellington, Lena by Libanon, and Lauritz by Lauries Crusador.
The internationally successful show jumpers El Lute (Fritz Walter Waldmann), Galloway (Lutz Gössing), and Petit Croix (Evelyn Blaton) likewise descend from our mare line.
Neil Ishoy and "Lonestar," by Lauries Crusador xx out of our Walegra by World Cup - Argus attracted a lot of attention in their first year competing in international events. They scored a convincing victory in the Intermediaire I at the Blainville Dressage International (taking place near Montreal, Canada) June 27-30, 2007. At the CDI Dressage at Devon Horseshow in September 2007 they placed 4th at Intermediare I. They went on to many more successes at Grand Prix level in the following years. Lonestar is currently competed successfully at 4th level dressage by his new owner, bestselling author Tami Hoag.
